"an initial conversation between myself and Disability Rights Commissioner for Wales Dr Kevin Fitzpatrick led to the idea of hosting an International Congress bringing together young disabled people from Wales with other youngsters from other European Union countries and from developing countries. Our aim is to give these young disabled people an opportunity to be involved with planning and delivering the messages, which will influence decision -makers from all over the world to strengthen civil rights legislation in relation to disability. The Congress will also be the starting point of a network intended to further serve and support young disabled people's particular needs. I am proud to be part of the team, whose efforts have contributed to turn this idea into reality"
