Official Launch

We held our official launch on 21st February 2003 at the University of Wales Swansea. It was an opportunity for organisations and individuals interested in what we are doing to come and learn more about us and for us to get some publicity and let people know the congress is happening.

There was a photo opportunity designed by the delegates attending the congress who come from Wales. Photos These photos helped us get articles printed in local newspapers.

There were then speeches by:

• Laura Price (member of the Viva! Group attending the congress);
• Dr. Kevin Fitzpatrick (Disability Rights Commissioner for Wales);
• Jess Sutton (member of the Jigsaw group attending the congress) - Transcript of Jess' speech;
• Glenys Kinnock (Member of the European Parliament) - Transcript of Glenys' speech.
